About DIMMsum

A free price tracker for used server RAM on eBay — live $/GB, median market lines, and real sold-price history.

What it does

eBay search is hostile to RAM buyers: "32GB (2x16GB)" is not a 32GB stick, one speed gets written five different ways, and lots, auctions, and for-parts listings all blend together in the results. DIMMsum normalizes each public eBay listing into an actual spec — capacity, speed, module type, stick count — and charts price per GB so you can see the market instead of scrolling it. The solid lines are the median $/GB for each stick size, computed only from single-stick, fixed-price, non-parts listings so multi-stick lots and auction bids can't skew them.

Where the data comes from

Live listings are refreshed every 6 hours (10,722 tracked right now). Once a week DIMMsum also collects eBay's sold/completed listings — 8,098 real sales going back to November 2025 — which powers the price-history trend on each spec page and the monthly market report. Prices always include shipping.

How the money works

Outbound listing links are eBay Partner Network affiliate links: if you click through and buy, eBay pays this site a commission. eBay pays; you don't. You pay the same price either way, and nothing here is sponsored — listings are ranked by $/GB, not by who pays. No ads, no accounts, no markups.
